During the time of stress, body secretes stress hormone “cortisol” which causes an increase in appetite. Also, you feel to eat high-calorie comfort foods when you are stressed which results in weight gain.

Quitting Smoking

Though quitting smoking is good for health but you may gain some weight initially. On an average, those who stop smoking gain less than 10 pounds. After some weeks, you stop feeling hungry which can make it easier to lose the gained weight.
