- With over 45 years of experience, Dr. Chowbey is renowned for his pioneering work in laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques, having revolutionized the field in India and across Asia.
- Throughout his career, he has trained more than 20,000 surgeons from around the world in the art and science of minimally invasive surgery.
- He was among the first to perform laparoscopic cholecystectomy in North India and introduced Minimally Invasive Fistula Technology (MAFT) to the Asia Pacific Region.
- With over 85,000 surgeries to his credit, Dr. Chowbey was also featured in the Guinness Book of Records in 1997 and the Limca Book of Records for 20 consecutive years (2000-2020) for performing the highest number of minimal access surgeries.
- He developed a unique method for Endoscopic Hernia Repair (TEP) and a novel endoscopic approach for neck surgeries, both of which are recognized and utilized worldwide.
