- Her passion for oncology led her to pursue a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, further honing her expertise in breast cancer surgery and management.
- Upon returning to India, Dr. Sarin’s career flourished at AIIMS, where she served as Assistant Professor and later Associate Professor of Surgery, contributing significantly to the advancement of surgical oncology.
- Her expertise was further recognized when she was appointed as the Head of Surgical Oncology at Mafrao Hospital under the Ministry of Health in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where she played a key role in establishing a cancer center.
- Dr. Sarin’s innovative approach to breast cancer treatment includes conservative breast surgery, sentinel node biopsy, and various breast reconstructive surgeries.

- Assistant Prof. of surgery at AIIMS from Jan.1975 to Dec.1982.
- Associate Prof. of surgery at AIMMS from Jan 1983 till 1986.
- Fellow ship in surgical Onclogy at Memorial Sloane Kettering cancer centre Newyork in 1979 to 1980
- Head surgical oncology at Mafrao Hospital on Ministry of health, Abu Dhabi UAE ( helped in starting a cancer centre in UAE)
- Founder member and initiated and atarted Indian Society of Oncology (ISO) the only platform in India for Oncology Meetings.
