Dr. Nitin Sood is a highly experienced Hematologist specializing in a wide range of blood disorders, including leukemia, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, and various anemias such as thalassemia and sickle cell anemia.
He also deals with complex conditions like bleeding and clotting disorders, as well as BMTs.
Currently, Dr. Nitin Sood holds the position of Director in the Department of Hemato Oncology and BMT at Medanta-The Medicity, Gurugram.
Dr. Sood earned his MBBS from Mysore University in 1998, followed by an MD in General Medicine and a DNB in Internal Medicine from Delhi University in 2002. After completing his senior residency in General Medicine at Safdarjung Hospital, he furthered his training in Clinical Hematology in the UK.
Throughout his career, Dr. Sood has been actively involved in several medical organizations in the UK and has received numerous awards for his contributions to hematology and oncology.

He completed his M.B.B.S from the Government Medical College at Mysore in 1997.
In 2002, he completed his post-graduation or M.D. in General Medicine from Army Hospital under the Delhi University.
In the same year, he completed his D.N.B. in Internal Medicine under the National Board of Examination.
Dr. Nitin Sood completed his M.R.C.P (UK) from the best university in the world; the Royal College of Physicians in the UK in 2005.
Later in 2008, he completed his M.R.C.Path in Associate Hematology at the Royal College of Pathologists in the UK.
In 2010, he completed the certification degree of CCT in Hemato Oncology under the supervision of the General Medical Council in the UK.
He has also done an F.R.C. degree in Pathology from the Royal College of Pathologists in the UK in 2010.

Dr. Nitin Sood received the first award in his career in 2002 when he was awarded the Senior Research Fellowship by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
In 2009, he won the First Prize for a research paper presentation by the British Society of Hematology.
He was awarded a bursary by the UK Myeloma Forum under the American Society of Hematology (ASH) in 2011.

Dr. Nitin Sood is one of the doctors in India who has contributed a large part of his career in mentoring students and future doctors through his publications and posters. He has published four research publications, and three posters and has authored a few articles.
