- Dr. Gaurav Dixit is a well-known BMT Specialist and Hemato-Oncologist in India, currently serving as the Unit Head of Hemato-Oncology at Artemis Hospital, Gurugram. His specialization primarily lies in leukemia, myeloma, lymphoma, and aplastic anemia.
- To date, Dr. Dixit has independently performed or been involved in over 500 BMTs. He is also credited for carrying out the first BMT in Kenya.
- Dr. Gaurav Dixit completed his MBBS and MD in general medicine from PGIMS Rohtak in 2008.
- He began working at the Clinical Hematology department at AIIMS Delhi in 2011 after finishing his senior residency in General Medicine. It was then that he developed an interest in the diagnosis and management of blood diseases.
- In 2012, he started his DM degree program at CMC Vellore, which boasts one of the top hematology departments in the nation. He was employed by this bustling transplant hospital for three years, ending in 2015.
- After four years each at Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, and Action Cancer Hospital, he joined Artemis Hospital. He played a key role in both institutes’ establishment of BMT programs.
