- He completed his residency in Surgery at Robert Packer Hospital (Guthrie Clinic), Sayre, Pennsylvania, USA. Later he became Chief Resident there from 1994-1995. Eventually, he completed his Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Massachusetts, USA in 1997.
- In 1995, he was honored as the Resident of the Year, and the Best Teaching Resident (Robert Packer Hospital and Guthrie Clinic). In 1994, he was the distinguished recipient of the Stanley Conklin Award for Research (First Prize – Basic Science), and (First Prize – Clinical Science).
- Since completion of his fellowship, Dr. Kashyap has worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, the Medical Director of the Aesthetic Center at Metrowest since 2001, an Attending Plastic Surgeon at The Wound Clinic at Framingham, and has operated a plastic surgery private practice, with operating privileges at Metrowest Medical Center, U-Mass-Memorial Marlborough Hospital and Nashoba Valley Medical Center.
- Dr. Kashyap also well-known as a research enthusiast, has published more than 35 national as well as international research papers and presentations, which also include a chapter written on wound healing, published in a leading plastic surgery academic textbook.
- Apart from Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Dr. Kashyap worked as a Senior Cosmetic Consultant with Apollo Hospitals.
